Iceni Pagan Group is based in part of what was once known as Iceni Clan Land. The Group was formed with the purpose of providing a place where interested individuals can come together and discuss any topic that is considered Pagan, Religious, Occult or any subject linked to these. It is also possible that in the future seasonal ritual may be practiced providing members have a desire to do so.
There is no hierarchy in the Group: all can speak freely, give opinions, make suggestions for topics and/or anything else that affects the Group and its activities. Membership is restricted to those who are over 18 years of age, this includes attendance at any of the Groups activities.
Iceni Pagan Discussion Group meets monthly on the nearest Wednesday to the New Moon to discuss topics that are agreed upon or requested by its members. Formal talks on specific topics will be occasionally on offer with opportunities to ask questions and discuss the subjects freely. The date for the next Discussion is given above.
Our usual meeting place is within the village boundary of Badingham in North Suffolk where the group has the use of a beautiful meeting place kindly offered for use for the Group by one of its members with no cost to the Group except that of upkeep. We offer refreshments in the way of tea, coffee and biscuits, although you are very welcome to bring your own. An offering of £1.00 each per meeting is asked from those who attend to help pay for upkeep and refreshments.
Also of interest to some may be our Full Moon Meditation Meetings. The Moon appears to be full over three nights, the first of these nights is considered to be the most powerful as the Moon is rising to its height. The second night the Moon is stagnant, beautiful and light giving but is still and quiet; the third night the Moon is beginning to wane, although its orb still appears to be full.
Iceni Pagan Group makes use of the powerful first night of the Full Moon by way of a Full Moon Meditation Meeting. An opportunity for meditation and reflection for those present.
There is no charge for the Discussion Group or the Full Moon Meditation Meetings although a small donation on the night will help with costs such as refreshments, electricity and any other sundries. Donations are voluntary and are at the choice and discretion of the individual.
